
Recently, Julian Wentzel, Chief Sustainability Officer of HSBC Group, and his delegation visited Hangzhou SATOR TECH, toured the Sator Lab, and gained an in-depth understanding of SATOR TECH's technological layout and innovative practices in the field of AI + Energy.

In 2021, Startway Technology launched the world's first AI-powered distributed modular mobile energy storage and charging solution. Behind this solution lies a real and pressing industry challenge: Globally, there are approximately 85 million new energy vehicles and 4.8 million to 16 million public charging stations, optimizing the vehicle-to-pile ratio from 10:1 to approximately 6:1. In China, with 48.27 million vehicles and 21.95 million charging stations (including private ones), the largest market in the world, public charging infrastructure remains a bottleneck.


Sator Technology's answer is to make electricity "move". In the demonstration at Sator Lab, a mobile charging robot equipped with self-developed L4-level low-speed autonomous driving technology can navigate autonomously, find its vehicle automatically, and charge automatically by ordering via a mobile app—changing "car finding charging station" to "charging station finding car". This not only solves the problem of difficulty in charging in fixed parking spaces, but also means that charging is no longer limited by the physical location of the power grid interface.

But Shitu Technology's capabilities extend beyond mobile charging. The same energy storage devices can also be flexibly deployed to scenarios lacking a mature power grid but with urgent electricity needs—construction sites requiring temporary power backup, large outdoor events like concerts and music festivals with concentrated and sudden power demands, and frequent power outages during disaster relief. Shitu Technology's mobile energy storage units require no lengthy grid modifications; once the device arrives on-site, power is immediately available. This embodies Shitu Technology's understanding of "ultimate energy distribution"—allowing electricity to break free from the constraints of fixed lines, extending from grid-covered urban parking lots to any corner where electricity is needed, completing a full closed loop from power generation and transmission to end-user consumption.
We rounded off the day at Sator Tech, where I saw how AI and robotics are being combined to enable smart energy distribution and mobile EV charging solutions—practical innovations that can help scale electrification.

Based on years of real-world training data, Startway Technology has expanded from an energy service robot company into a general-purpose embodied intelligence company, achieving a closed-loop business model in the energy service sector.
